Ingredients

  • 4 slices gluten-free or wholegrain toast bread
  • 1 large and ripe avocado peeled, stone removed, and smashed
  • 2 large tomatoes sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar or caramelized fig vinegar
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • salt, pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Place slices of tomatoes on a parchment paper on a baking tray and drizzle them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, if using. Grill them for 5 minutes.
  • Add smashed avocado on bread slices. Add grilled tomato slices, chili flakes, basil leaves, and more salt and/or pepper due to your taste. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or caramelized fig.
