Equipment

  • Food Procesor or Blender

Ingredients

  • juice from 1/2 orange
  • zest from 1/2 orange
  • 1 cup unblanched almonds1)
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 4 Medjool dates pitted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil melted
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients including maple syrup (if using) in a food processor and process until dough is formed. The dough should stick together easily.
  • With your hands, start making little balls. There should be enough dough for 15 protein balls.
  • Place protein balls in a fridge and let them firm up for 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

1)Almond meal can be used instead.
