I love the smell of freshly baked gingerbread cookies! It’s full of spicy scent and it always reminds me of Christmas for some reason. So this time for Christmas I decided to make gingerbread smoothie bowl, inspired by my fabulous Spicy Gingerbread Men!
This gingerbread smoothie bowl is unusual and definitely something else than you usually get for your morning smoothie bowl! It is a very special treat which you probably won’t make every morning.
Did I mention how easy and quick is to make this gingerbread smoothie? It’s ready in just 5 minutes. Basically, you only need to throw about 5-6 ingredients in a blender or a food processor and let the magic happen.
The gingerbread smoothie bowl is naturally sweet because of peanut butter and bananas which are blended in. If you like it even sweeter than that, add some maple syrup or agave syrup.
If you prefer a little bit spicier gingerbread, add all the spices stated in the recipe plus a tiny little bit more of gimger paste or grated ginger (depends what you are using).
For toppings, use all your favourite things which go well with a gingerbread flavour. You can get a bit crazy here – use mixed chopped nuts, dairy-free chocolate chips, chocolate nibs, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, melted peanut butter, some more spices (nutmeg, cinnamon), coconut flakes, shredded coconut… don’t forget to add a gingerbread cookie!!

Gingerbread Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
To make smoothie:
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 2 bananas frozen
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp nutmeg (all spice)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp maple syrup optional
To serve:
- mix nuts chopped
- gingerbread cookie
- shredded coconut
- ground cinnamon
- peanut butter melted
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients for a smoothie in a blender or a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Arrange toppings and serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
