A delicious breakfast you can easily and comfortably prepare the night before and store it in your fridge? Then you have to make easy chocolate chia seed pudding with silken tofu!
Jump to RecipePrint RecipeChia seed pudding is my favourite dessert or breakfast. It doesn’t take a lot of time to make it and it doesn’t require many ingredients. Plus, of course, it’s always so delicious.
There are so many flavour and varieties you can create with just chia seeds and coconut milk! I like to divide my jars in white part – chia seed pudding – and a colourful part. This part is always made of berries, chocolate, or some other fruit.
Easy and it works all the time, trust me! When you don’t have any time left in the morning but don’t want to miss your breakfast, this choc chia pudding is a perfect solution!
How to make extra smooth and creamy chocolate pudding (yes, the bottom layer)? Use silken tofu instead of coconut milk or coconut cream or anything else. Make sure you get soft silken tofu.
You might be asking what silken tofu is. It’s basically a very soft and smooth tofu that barely holds together. Sometimes it’s called Japanese tofu and its consistency reminds of pure white silk.
Because of its soft consistency, silken tofu is mostly used to make dips, sauces, pudding, smoothies, porridges… You can also bake with it or make sour or heavy cream.

The magic of this choc chia pudding is to use high-quality ingredients, such as raw (organic) cocoa powder, pure maple syrup, and high-quality organic pure vanilla essence.
The chocolate chia seed pudding also works as a simple dessert, especially after a bigger meal. If you want to surprise your significant other or guests with a deliciously-looking and easy dessert, this chocolate chia seed pudding is your best friend!
Don’t forget to add your favourite toppings. I can’t live without dairy-free chocolate chips and cocoa nibs!
