Jump to Recipe Print RecipeI love fresh juice and smoothies, especially green smoothies. I always feel like I nourish my body with a liquid food that is usually easier for me to digest. If you haven’t tried my super green smoothie made of spinach and kale, now it’s about time!
Here’s a little guide about smoothies. It explains how to make good smoothies full of nutrients and how drinking smoothies will help you lose weight.
If I have time I make one smoothie in the morning for my breakfast. When I feel hungry during the day, I make another smoothie bowl. This is usually a more creative smoothie ad I attempt to take photos of this smoothie bowl! If a recipe is worthy to write about, I incorporate it into a new recipe post that I share here.
Of course, not always have time to make one or even two smoothies a day. If I am really busy and I still want to have some kind of smoothie for my breakfast, I simply take out a couple of frozen bananas from my freezer (that I ALWAYS have in my freezer) and add other frozen goodies that I have in my freezer, such as berries, mango, kale, etc.
On hot days during summer, I make A LOT of fresh juices. At the moment I do not own a juicer. So how do I make my fresh juices? Whenever it’s possible, I blend the fruit and vegetables in my high-speed blender until very very smooth. Then I pass the juice through my very fine strainer.
So far I am aware, the Vitamix high-speed blender is the best blender in a market at the moment. So get one right now, as a post-Christmas treat!!
