When the winter season is here, we would like to see snow! Well, that’s impossible if you live in Australia like me! But anyway, I think the Christmas time and winter is a great time for making some raw coconut snowball!
Do you know what makes these coconut snowballs so good? They are made only from 5 ingredients! Yep, you heard good. You need only FIVE ingredients to make them! They are so easy and you probably have all the ingredients at home all the time! In 10 minutes, these coconut snowballs are all done!
Jump to RecipePrint RecipeTry to use raw shredded coconut. The best is organic coconut so you avoid all the nasties and really enhance the coconut taste of these snowballs.
These coconut snowballs always remind me of Raffaelo balls which are also made of coconut, but only from outside. My version of coconut balls is much healthier. It’s less crispy but you will love it (because it’s so easy and absolutely EFFORTLESS)!
The base of these snowballs is made of a good quality coconut oil. I say that extra viriging coconut oil is the best. When you use cheap coconut oil you can taste a really odd taste of melted oil which is not very pleasant for these coconut snowballs.
Also, to keep these coconut snowballs gluten-free, make sure to use gluten-free maple syrup. This might seem like a no-brainer but always check a label on maple syrup. Most of them are not gluten-free!
