Although figs are very sweet, They are quite low in calories. Of course, I am talking fresh fruit. 100 g figs contain only 74 calories! They also contain a bunch of minerals and vitamins, such as sodium, potassium, niacin, vitamin A, K, thiamin and others.
The lesser-known fact about figs is that this fresh fruit also have polyphenolic flavonoid antioxidants (for instance carotenes, lutein, tannins, chlorogenic acid ec.).
However, dried figs are richer in calories. 100 g dried figs contain about 249 calories.
And walnuts? They are one of my most favourite nuts. I love their a slightly nutty, bitter, and woody taste. They give yu so much omega-3s than any other nuts! They help with a digestion, have anti-imflammatory. If you fight with your weight, nuts can help you with that, too!
To make these bliss balls, you really need only 3 ingredients. If you feel like adding extra omega-3 portion, you can make these bliss balls with a little bit of ground flaxseeds.
Add a pinch of sea salt and maple syrup, if you prefer your bliss balls sweeter or saltier!
